Inspired by one of the most famous women of antiquity: Cleopatra VII. She was an icon of luxurious sensuality and female power. Predominantly male Roman historians excelled in portraying the Egyptian queen as lustful, power-hungry, and cruel. In my work, I sought to reflect this portrayal while also presenting her as both a seductive ruler and a symbol of female strength and intelligence.
This artwork is part of my "No Face" series.
