“Capsella” is a portrait about quiet emotional presence — the kind that doesn’t need dramatic gestures to hold attention. I wanted this work to feel delicate and modern at the same time, combining expressive figurative painting with thin graphic botanical elements inspired by wild capsella plants.

The silver foil became an important part of the composition. Depending on the light, it softly reflects and changes the atmosphere of the artwork, adding a luminous metallic depth against the cool blue background. I liked the contrast between the fragile floral lines and the direct gaze of the woman, between softness and inner tension.

This painting moves between contemporary portraiture and botanical abstraction, with layered brushwork, subtle color transitions, and reflective textures that make the work feel alive in different interiors and lighting conditions.
