The Capercaillie is a large turkey size bird a member of the grouse family, that inhabits Scotland's pine forests mostly in the central highlands of Scotland. I have painted the bird in a typical pose with it's tail feathers held in a fan shape as it displays in a lek or courtship display.
Painted using quality artists acrylics on a square format 24" x 24" (60 x 60cm) canvas on board, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
