Artist's description:

Calming light
Pale apricot,
Earthy grey,
Hint of duck egg blue.

Words and exspression of the sky at dusk over the Blackmoor vale by the reed beds and River Stour in North Dorset.
Just five miles from where I live in Shaftesbury off the steep Saxon hilltop town is an area of rustic beauty and where Thomas Hardy rented a cottage by the River Stour in Sturminster Newton and began to write his famous story ‘Tess of the Durbervilles’.This is the perfect place to get away from it all any time of year.

Two different watercolour techniques in this original painting-Dragging technique for the reeds and wet in wet technique for the sky, river and tree line.
