Original artwork description
This piece was created using a combination of acrylics and oils. I wanted to create something that was fun and exciting! But full of emotion. It came shortly after my decision to leave the corporate world behind and pursue art full time. I was full of anxiety although full of excitement and passion.
I began with a serene base of acrylics, blending the darker parts and the lighter parts, to portray the light at the end of the tunnel, and then I added the swirls and depths of burnt sienna and lamp black with parchment, the outcome was beautiful and told a real story of calmness and being settled in life. I then added the oil paints in a way that spoke to me, mimicking colours across the canvas, dragging them on top of each other, creating harmony in the mess. Adding the new layer and path that I had now chosen.
This piece will forever be very special to me and I would love to see it appreciated and understood in someone’s home.
