About Amber Jane
Biography
Amber Jane Stevens is a UK-based artist whose work reflects a balance between structure and expressive freedom. She was first introduced to painting at a young age by her grandmother, developing an early fascination with colour, movement, and the natural world.
She later studied photography, specialising in film and darkroom processes, which deepened her understanding of composition and visual storytelling. At the age of 20, she joined the military, where she worked as an aerospace technician. This experience instilled a strong sense of discipline and perspective that continues to influence her work.
Six years further, she moved to the Netherlands for work and life experience outside of the military, further broadening her outlook before eventually returning to England. It was during this time back home and moving away from the technical work that she reconnected with a creative environment that reignited her passion for creating.
Today, her work draws on both her structured background and her creative instincts, resulting in pieces that combine thoughtful composition with bold, expressive elements.
