The idea behind this painting was to capture a sharp contrast between black and bright blue within a compact canvas.
The subject is the Florence Duomo. I darkened the surrounding areas on purpose to make the bright blue sky in the center appear more translucent and radiant.

In all my works, I strive to create balanced, timeless compositions.

This painting is executed on the highest quality canvas stretched over a wooden frame. I personally handle every step of the process, from priming the canvas to the final touches, to ensure I am fully satisfied with the result.
