Artwork description
A calm, atmospheric study of Atlantic waves on a remote Orkney beach, where soft teal and seafoam tones dissolve into one another beneath a deepening sky. The movement of the water is smoothed into a gentle, almost dreamlike flow, creating a sense of stillness and quiet rhythm.
This piece captures the elemental beauty of the northern coast—wild yet softened, powerful yet serene. The minimal composition and subtle palette allow the eye to rest, making it ideal for contemporary interiors seeking calm, space, and light.
At scale, the work becomes immersive, bringing the hush of the sea and the softness of distant horizons into the room.
In this series, made on the beaches of the tiny Isle of Harris I have tried to capture and develop the emotional harmony these colour combinations engender and recreate a sense of relaxation.

I am passionate about using luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use beautiful museum quality Canvas and the highest quality inks. People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use.

A Note on Canvases
Your canvas will have 2 inches of white border for use by the framer in stretching round the sides of your frame. Once ready, it will be carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
