Original artwork description
A captivating mixed media piece that blends fluid watercolor textures with expressive gestural lines. The artwork features a central, ethereal figure set against a backdrop of architectural arches and atmospheric washes of blue, gold, and grey.
It explores the boundary between internal emotion and external space, inviting the viewer into a dreamlike narrative.
This piece came into existence through a process of intuitive layering, where I allowed the water and pigment to dictate the initial forms. Inspired by the concept of mental liberation and "open cages," it represents the moment a thought or soul feels free to wander. It is special because of its balance between chaos and calm—the rough charcoal-like strokes provide a grounding contrast to the light-filled, luminous center.
