Sea Nymphs is a new Series of photographs that I have been working on over the past few months. The Sea Nymphs or Nereides are the daughters of the Greek God Nereus and were considered to be incredibly beautiful.

Near my studio we have a 200foot waterfall, yes, really ! The water flows from a landlocked loch (lake) that sits under the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye. The loch has been landlocked since the Ice Age, that means that up here on the cliff where I live, that pool of water has had no access to anywhere since the Ice Age and that waterfall is the mineral water from the loch returning to the ocean. I have included a picture of our location so you can see where I took these shots.

Artworks in the Sea Nymphs Series look great together or in diptychs and triptychs, they include:

Amphitrite, Erato, Galatea, Galene and Thetis possibly more as the Series develops.

About My Work

A Note on Canvases
Your canvas will have 1.5 - 2 inches of white border for use by the framer in stretching round the sides of your frame. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
