In this painting, I wanted to portray a woman carrying the traces of what she has been through, within the quiet intimacy of her own world. Her gaze reflects vulnerability, dignity, and a quiet inner strength.
The weathered wall represents the marks left by life and the emptiness that remains behind, while the sleeping cat beside her symbolizes safety, companionship, and the small world in which she can finally feel at peace.
The large empty space in the background is also intentional. Rather than filling it with another story, I wanted to leave it as a reflection of the emptiness that remains within her life.
I don't believe she is broken. She is simply learning to live beyond the storm.
