About SBBoursot
Biography
Fascinated by the experiences of living, she works in layers and texture to each work, where lines are often softened or blurred, capturing intimate and expressive moments.
Her sculptures are about ageing. They are abstract and expressionist, starting with a general idea inspired by the wood selected, then progressing intuitively.
She has exhibited physically in London and Paris in juried group exhibitions and won the prize for charcoal work at an exhibition in Paris 2022. End 2023, she was a Finalist in the VAA Professional Artist Award in which she was also awarded as one of only 5 "Highly Commended Exhibitor", and 09/2026 she has been shortlisted for the VAA Art100 International Art Competition.
In 2025 she had a year long 'residency', following 6 top wine makers in Burgundy to create drawings of "a year in the life of a domaine". This culminated with a 2-month solo exhibition at the Cité des Climats et des Vins de Bourgogne in Beaune in 2026, with satellite exhibitions at Chablis and Macon, and the release of a book of the work (available from the artist's website).
