  • Biography
I am a figurative painter based in Cornwall.
People are amazing, there is no such thing as an ordinary person...everyone is extraordinary in their own way, and they all have something about them that makes them stand out from the next person. I love detail...be it textures, intricate patterns of clothing, tattoos, piercings, jewellery, lines and creases on skin. I paint in oil, I love the fluidity, richness of tone...and the smell. I also paint celebrities that appeal to me...that I admire for some reason, people that have a quirky quality. I exhibit regularly in Southwest UK, and have twice featured on Sky Art's 'Portrait Artist of the Year', with actor Parminder Nagra choosing my portrait to take home with her to Los Angeles. A lot of my sales come from private commissions, some of which are quite unusual. I am not able to feature all of these within my shop front but a selection are visible in my 'me at work' pages. I enjoy commissions, and am very happy to discuss ideas/ requests, and this can easily be arranged via Artfinder, or contact via my own website.
