  • Biography
    I was born in the UK along the Dorset coast in 1964, this area is filled with natural beauty, lush woodlands and stunning coastlines. This is where my appreciation of the ocean and the forest was born, you could say that I have a love affair with the sea and anything outdoors, these are the things that shaped me and my creative vision.
     
    Having discovered photography in my mid thirties and armed with huge enthusiasm I decided to study photography at art college for 2 years. I then was ready to catapult myself out into the world to travel and capture exciting and moving images.

    During this time travelling I found myself living on a horse ranch in Tarifa Spain, directly across the road from the beach.  It was on this beach that I made an extraordinary picture of cows sunbathing with Kites flying above them.
    With this image "Cows and Kites" I won an award from National Geographic Magazine which further fuelled my passion for creating art.

    After this success it confirmed to me that this is what I was meant to do with my life.

    I continue to travel widely, always inquisitive, always adventurous, aiming to capture new and inspiring images, fleeting moments in time, that hopefully other people will also enjoy.

    Many other awards have followed and also published works have brought me to the attention of a wider audience.

    My work has appeared in National Geographic Publications, Lonely Planet Traveller Magazine, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Singapore Airlines Magazine, Lufthansa Airlines Magazine, Tatler Magazine and Rough Guides; it has also been displayed in the Auckland Museum.

    Andrew has received yet another prestigious Nomination at the International Colour Awards in Los Angeles, USA. There were over 6,000 entries from 73 countries and Andrew's work 'Yachts In The Fog' received a high percentage of votes overall.


    The Jury represented the industry's biggest names and tastemakers including Bonhams, New York; The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; The Art Channel, London; Netflix, Los Angeles; Koller Auctions, Zurich; Preus Museum, Norway; Cramer Mitterrand Art Advisory, Geneva; Fila, New York; Calvin Klein, Netherlands; Kolle Rebbe, Hamburg; NBC Universal, New York; Feldbusch Weisner Rudolph Galerie, Berlin; Newsweek, New York; and Ridley Scott Associates/RSA Films, London who reviewed the entries online before making their nominations and honoring 622 title awards and 826 nominees in 37 categories. The Awards could not have wished for a better group of professionals to work with.
