A dense cluster of deep red roses rises from a nearly transparent vase, surrounded by soft washes of pink and green. While individual flowers remain recognizable, their edges begin to merge with the color around them. Fallen petals below the vase extend the composition beyond the bouquet, suggesting movement and the passing of time.
The painting moves between abundance and disappearance. What begins as a vase of roses gradually becomes an exploration of color, rhythm and change — a moment in which the flowers seem to dissolve into their own atmosphere.
