Wo Farbe beginnt (2020) Original Watercolour by Margarita Fischer

31 x 41 x 0.1cm (unframed) / 31 x 41cm (actual image size)

£342.87

The vase holds the flowers, but not the color.

In this painting, a traditional floral still life begins to move beyond its familiar form. Roses remain recognizable and carefully observed, while the space around them becomes fluid, atmospheric and increasingly independent.

Watercolor allows the boundaries between object and surroundings to soften. Color escapes the bouquet, spreads into the background and creates a space that belongs neither entirely to reality nor to abstraction.

This work marks my fascination with the moment when observation is no longer enough — when painting begins to follow color, movement and intuition.
