Wave (2026) Woodcut by Gesa Reuter

This very special piece is a one-of-a-kind original driftwood print.

The driftwood was collected at the Baltic sea beach and specially prepared to be ready for professional printing. The pattern of the weathered wood remains visible and leads to very beautiful tiny traces and patterns that make a lot of texture. A print like this will remind you of the beauty of sea and waves in a minimalistic and calligraphy-like style.

Many layers of different found drift woods are printed with an old etching press and special printing ink (lightfast and non-water-soluble) on special 180 g white printing paper. Size 48x60 cm.

Each print is an original as no two of these kind of prints are ever identical. But there are also other artists using the wood, so similar prints in other colors, sizes and use of patterns will exist.

Signed, numbered 1/1 on front and on the back. Certificate of authenticity.

(The colors are difficult to catch, the paper is normal white (not beige), the waves more blue than grey and the colors are most similar to reality on the photo where I am holding the work up)
