In "Verbascum", I explore the hidden poetry of my own garden. This specific plant grew completely wild and spontaneously; fascinated by its resilient, striking form, I chose to let it stay. Started directly from life in the garden and finished in the studio, the painting captures a landscape stripped of the superfluous, evoking the serene atmosphere of summer dusk just after a rain.

The creative process was deeply anchored in the music of the 1960s—The Doors, The Beatles, Cream, The Kinks, and Donovan. This soundtrack helped me focus and translate a calm, melodic rhythm onto the canvas.
