This minimalist black and white photograph of a rag stone is part of the ongoing series 'Quiet Matter', in which ordinary natural objects are isolated from their original context.

Worn smooth by time and water, the stone carries the marks of a long, silent transformation. Its natural perforations and subtle surface textures suggest both fragility and endurance, inviting contemplation rather than explanation. Removed from the landscape and surrounded by darkness, it becomes an intimate study of form, memory and geological time.

Printed as an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 305 gsm, each print is produced in a limited edition of five, individually signed and numbered by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
