Untamed Botanicals
These three imaginary plants grew from an exploration of shape, colour and the unpredictable movement of pigment on paper. Their stems and buds suggest a botanical study, while their unusual leaves belong to a world of their own. Look closely and you’ll find soft granulation, shifting tones and edges that seem to have formed naturally.
The blue and turquoise plant feels bold and open; the vivid pink one stands at the centre like a curious bloom; the quieter, earthy plant brings the trio into balance. Each work has its own personality, but together they form a small herbarium of invented species.
Three original works on watercolor paper, each measuring 17 × 24 cm.
