“Unboxing” explores the moment when something long desired finally becomes close and takes on a tangible presence. In the woman’s warm embrace, a white cat embodies this newfound closeness — still unfamiliar, yet already filled with tenderness and responsibility. Rich colours and expressive brushwork heighten the emotional intensity of this first encounter.

What is desired has not yet become entirely familiar — it seems to come from another space, with its own rhythm and character. The contact is cautious yet assured: the hands hold not only a physical form but also responsibility for it.

Another experience already exists nearby — more temperamental and independent. It emerges in the image of a ginger cat, whose presence suggests the complexity of engaging with something that has a will of its own. Somewhere beneath the surface, a quiet doubt remains, even in the moment of acceptance.

This doubt takes an almost imperceptible form in the darkness of a cardboard box, where the silhouette of a black cat is concealed. Three distinct presences coexist within the same space, shaping the first step towards taming one’s own longing.
