Original artwork description
Underfoot is a detailed ink and acrylic painting exploring trace, disturbance and the small lives that continue around what has been left behind.
A shoeprint crosses a vibrant meadow path, pressing into the dark soil while grasses, wildflowers, insects, fungi and hidden animals remain around it. The scene is bright and full of life at first glance, but becomes more unsettling the longer it is viewed. The ground holds the mark of something that has passed through, while the surrounding natural world continues quietly around it.
This piece measures 60x60cm and is professionally framed in a black frame and white mount fir a classic finish. Framed dimensions are approximate 75x75cm
