This is an etching which has been made using the 'sugar-lift' process. The trees are drawn onto a copper plate using a sugar solution and then a water resistant ground is rolled over it. It is then immersed in water and the parts which have been drawn then float away, leaving the exposed plate. This is then put into acid and the trees are bitten into the plate.
The background is made by rolling paint onto a plastic sheet which is printed as a mono print. The copper plate is then printed on top of the mono print.
It is taken from an edition of 25.
