Still life painting holds a special place in my practice, particularly the arrival of tulips. As some of the very first heralds of spring, these flowers carry a unique power to shift the room's mood, charging the space with pure, positive energy.

Every spring, a ritual unfolds in my garden. I watch these tulips bloom, and I make it a point never to miss the fleeting moment. I return to my studio to capture their essence in one or two dedicated pieces.

In this artwork, the fiery red blossoms are rendered with expressive, urgent strokes, appearing to vibrate against a deep, textured backdrop of atmospheric blues. By intentionally leaving hints of the raw canvas visible beneath the acrylic layers, the piece retains a fresh, breathing quality. It is an intersection of nature's seasonal resilience and the vibrant optimism of a new beginning.
