Tulip Bloom (2021) Original Watercolour by Margarita Fischer

This painting explores the tension between abundance and disappearance.

Flowers gather in an intense field of color — deep violets, luminous pinks and warm oranges collide with areas that dissolve almost completely into water and light. Some forms are carefully observed, while others are allowed to escape their boundaries and become pure color.

I am interested in this transition: the moment when looking at a flower becomes something else — a sensation of color, movement and memory. The image grows from observation, but gradually leaves it behind.
