Original artwork description
This painting belongs to my ongoing exploration of the relationship between nature and the human experience. The raw linen provides both another element in the painting and a sense of warmth that complements the color palate. Inspired by the natural world and influenced by the Eastern philosophy of forest bathing, it seeks to capture not what nature looks like, but what it feels like; its calming presence, its raw honesty, and its ability to transform from within. Moving between representation and abstraction, the work blurs the line between outer landscape and inner landscape, using light, color, and texture to suggest an atmosphere of stillness and renewal.
I believe art is one of the truest forms of expression, a direct dialogue between the artist and the medium. I find a clear parallel between that artistic rawness and the unrefined beauty of nature; both are open-ended, layered, and deeply personal. This painting offers an opportunity to pause, breathe, and reflect.
