This is a self-portrait exploring the emotional state that follows rejection. The frosted glass functions as both a visual and symbolic device, emphasizing a sense of fragmentation, isolation, and separation.
As in my other paintings, there are no shades or transitional tones. Every element is rendered with precision and decisiveness, without hesitation. This deliberate clarity allows the emotions to emerge directly, without filters or mediation.
That immediacy is at the heart of my practice: to convey emotion in its most direct and uncompromising form.
