Artwork description:

In my recent exhibition in Amman, I quoted my ideas from the poetic Sufi book of Faridaldeen Alattar (Conference of the Birds), it’s discussing the way to God/Allah and how to find the right path through life using symbolism.

The story:

A group of birds gathered one day and decided to search for the Simorg/phoenix and crown him as a king on all of them, so to begin this spiritual journey, they decided to let the Hoopoe lead them, because Hoopoe was mentioned in Quran and his story with prophet Suleiman.

They went to many places on Earth, and by time some of those birds started getting tired, complaining and nagging, they still have many self needs to fulfill, at the end only 30 birds remained, and the writer here want to say that not all birds (people) can reach and stick to the right way in life.

Until they reach the throne of the Simorg, there; they noticed that the Simorg is only a reflection of their images and they all unified by one soul, so we are all equal and we all birds (humans).

Materials used:

310 gm, a white, %100 cotton paper with a smooth surface texture/ guarantees archival standard.
