My parents have a summer country house in the Tver Oblast. Vladimir was our neighbor. For many years, he wanted to dig a pond near his house to breed fish, but the land was mined since the time of World War II. In 1941, the Germans occupied the village and set up their regimental headquarters in his house. After the Soviet forces advanced, they were forced to leave. Before retreating, the Germans burned down the village, destroyed all buildings, and mined the territory. The only house that accidentally survived was his parents' house, where he lived. That's where I took this portrait. Recently, Vladimir passed away.
Portrait of the man is sitting near the window. This portrait is to be hung somewhere you see every day. Whether that be in your bedroom and it’s what you see when you greet the day or night. All photos are available for purchase as a Limited Edition full color prints. I use superb exhibition quality and pigment ink of the highest museum quality and standards which guarantees long lasting color and saturation. Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, indicating that you have purchased my original work. In addition, each print is hand-signed, numbered, titled and dated. All prints are shipped rolled in a hard tube with a moisture- proof layer inside to any country worldwide.
