The Lost One (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Vladimir Mikhalko

“The Lost One” belongs to the series “The Mystery of the Third Planet.” Within a dense environment of unfamiliar shapes and structures, a solitary blue figure appears to have lost its direction. The surrounding forms resemble fragments of architecture, creatures or signs belonging to an unknown world.

The painting reflects the experience of being displaced and searching for a place among unfamiliar surroundings. Although the central character seems isolated, it remains connected to the environment through colour, rhythm and overlapping forms.

Created intuitively with acrylic paint, pencil and texture gel, the work moves between abstraction and narrative. Its meaning remains deliberately open: the lost figure may be searching for a path, for others like itself, or perhaps for a new understanding of where it belongs.
