The Blue Caravan Photograph by Basel Almisshal

76.2 x 43.94cm

£703.72

A caravan of riders in blue moves in single file across pale sand, their mounts stepping in near-perfect rhythm. I made this photograph for the pattern: repeated silhouettes, the intervals between them, and the single band of colour carried across an almost empty frame.

The image belongs to my documentation of desert horsemanship and cultural life in the Arabian Peninsula, where processions like this one carry centuries of tradition in their order and dress. Read from left to right it is a story; seen at once, it is a composition, figure, interval, and line.

This is a museum-quality giclee print on archival fine art paper, made from the original high-resolution file, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is produced to exhibition standard and shipped rolled in a protective tube.

Materials used:

Archival pigment print (giclee) on museum-grade fine art paper
