Artwork description
Tea Time II
Not every silence is peaceful.
In Tea Time II, the familiar ritual of sharing tea becomes a metaphor for emotional exhaustion and the invisible weight carried beneath a composed exterior. The delicate porcelain, symbols of elegance and tradition, contrast with a face consumed by a cloud of uncertainty, where thoughts dissolve before they can be expressed.
A single thread of tea escapes the lips, transforming an everyday gesture into a quiet act of vulnerability. The obscured gaze invites the viewer to question what remains hidden behind appearances, exploring themes of identity, mental fatigue, memory, and the fragile boundary between reality and inner perception.
Inspired by chiaroscuro painting, this photograph embraces darkness as a narrative element, allowing light to reveal only what is essential while leaving space for interpretation. Rather than offering answers, Tea Time II encourages a personal dialogue between the artwork and its viewer.
Printed on museum-quality archival Fine Art paper, each print is hand-signed, individually numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
