I have visited the small Spanish city of Tarragona several times. It is an ancient city on the Mediterranean coast, with atmospheric streets, unexpected turns, and expressive perspectives. I depicted one of these places in this painting, trying to convey my impression of this Spanish city.

The painting is executed in oil, yet has a distinctly graphic quality. I used a limited palette, with black predominating throughout the composition. The work is square in format, measuring 100 × 100 cm.

The painting has a highly decorative character and an unusual perspective, creating a distinctive visual impression.

The edges of the canvas are not finished.
