Biography
I'm a self-taught printmaker and mixed media painter based in Buckinghamshire, UK, and my work celebrates colour, texture, and the beauty of everyday life. I work across two disciplines — vibrant lino prints and richly layered mixed media paintings — that feel like two halves of the same conversation: one built on precision and process, the other on instinct and layering.
My architectural lino print series draws from a love of travel and visits to London, just a train ride away. My floral series began as a way to learn the names of flowers growing in our garden — and grew from there.
It's in the linocut process itself where I find particular joy, from that first cut to watching a composition emerge through each layer of colour. Even after years of practice, I still don't always know how a piece will resolve until the final layer goes down. That uncertainty is part of what keeps me coming back to the block.
My studio journey took an unexpected turn over twelve years ago, when back surgery ended my nursing career — a silver lining I've never taken for granted. I exhibit regularly around the UK, and my work is held in private collections worldwide.
