Artwork description
'Under the Arch' was inspired by a little trip Mr. P and I took to Verona a couple of years ago — a place I knew I had to capture, when the time felt right.
That time is now! This piece took a long time to sketch out carefully, making sure every detail was as accurate as I could get it before transferring the design to the lino cut and beginning to carve.
Using six tones ranging from palest grey to black — plus hand-painted foliage — it is printed with professional printmaking inks onto beautiful paper. It measures 20 x 30 cm and is part of a small edition of just 14. Each print is an original hand pulled Lino print so they may all vary slightly.
