Sommer (2020) Original Watercolour by Margarita Fischer

31 x 41 x 0.1cm (unframed) / 31 x 41cm (actual image size)

£381.96

“Sommer” grew out of observing flowers at the height of the season — abundant, changing and never completely still. Rather than describing each flower precisely, I allowed water, pigment and movement to become part of the image.

Forms emerge and dissolve, colors flow into one another, and the boundary between flower and atmosphere begins to disappear. The painting is not meant to preserve summer, but to evoke the feeling of being surrounded by it — intense, fleeting and alive.
