Stay In Shadows (2025)

“There is a fragile, ten-minute window when the sun has already surrendered, but the night hasn’t yet claimed its throne. In this shadowplay, harmony and anxiety walk hand in hand.”

The Twilight Threshold: This 115 x 145 cm canvas captures the "magic hour" at its most hauntingly beautiful. It records the exact vibration of the atmosphere when the sky loses its color, turning into a heavy, velvet void, while the earth remains momentarily illuminated by an afterglow. By applying the Blinkered method to this transition, I have distilled the vastness of the darkening horizon into a series of dense, horizontal bands of silence.

The Musical Cipher: The title Stay In Shadows is a direct fragment of my "sonic diary." It serves as a cryptic bridge to a track or a lyrical line that resonated in the studio during the long process of layering. This auditory puzzle invites the collector to find the music that mirrors this specific tension—the balance between peace and the looming unknown; only then is the full synergy of the work unlocked.

A Topography of the Void: Executed on 3D linen canvas, the work possesses a profound tactile presence. To achieve the effect of "approaching darkness," I applied dozens of layers of acrylic using unconventional tools like sponges and rags. This creates a kaleidoscopic depth where deep charcoals and muted umbers interact, revealing a flickering internal light that shifts as the viewer moves, mimicking the way our eyes adjust to the falling night.
