Spring in Andalucia is an oil painting on canvas measuring 1m x 1m x with a lovely deep canvas of 4cm.
This painting is an abstract impressionist painting inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of Andalucia in southern Spain.
I am deeply inspired by the colours of Spain in summer, where there are warm pinks and greens and an ochre hue in the golden evening sun.
I used a lot of gestural brush strokes and thick oil strokes to create a sense of the movement of the plant life in the landscape.
I created this in my Brighton studio using lots of linseed oil mixed with oil paint on a canvas made by Belle Art.
This painting has been varnished with a matt varnish to protect it from dust and UV light and has the attachments on the back ready to hang on your wall.
