Somewhere Familiar (2025) Original Oil Painting by Alisa Cherkun Drukman

“Somewhere Familiar” was created spontaneously, with expressive, lively brushstrokes and the freedom of an impressionist study. Warm colors, sunlight, and the peaceful countryside come together to capture a fleeting moment filled with life and emotion.

There are places we may have never visited, yet they somehow feel familiar — like a distant memory, a childhood dream, or a moment we wish could last a little longer.

This painting is about those simple, precious moments that make us feel at home. A gentle reminder to slow down, embrace the present, and cherish its beauty before it becomes a memory.
