Solace (2021) Original Oil Painting by Suzanne Williams
59.06 x 39.37 x 0.79" (unframed)
$1,233.8Sold
Original artwork description
Oil on canvas.
150cm x 100cm x 2cm
In this piece, I aimed to capture the amber heat of a late summer sunset, as Autumn approaches. The firey Cadmium sky, against the deep Prussian blue of the ocean, is a striking palette. The painting is slightly textured and catches the light, making the colours burst and glow.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
