A light spring inspired palette refreshed with pinks and flashes of orange give a sense of sunny days.

This landscape is typical here in East Anglia - with many fields now given over to grassland crops.
The skylarks have a joyous song and are numerous. We have always had them in this part of the country and it seems that they have their favourite fields. This area is full of them singing away to impress the females. I am always reminded of Shelley’s poem Ode to a Skylark which ends with the lines
“All the earth and air
With thy voice is loud”
So true!

The painting is shipped wrapped in several protective layers before being placed in a sturdy cardboard box.
I always send my paintings by tracked courier for extra security.
