Original artwork description
A whisper through the African bush, you never know when you are being watched from a silent quarter.
This big cat wildlife painting emerged from playing with my Gelli plate papers gathering texture on the canvas letting the abstract forms dictate the patterns that grew from those initial layers. A very small palette of vermillion, mid green, black and white, coupled with a little gold in places were my only colours, which produced a sumptuous and almost decadent feel for this beautiful African Leopard.
