Original artwork description
The drawing of this black Labrador conveys both a sense of presence and restraint. It is not entirely clear whether the dog is retreating into the shadows or stepping out of them, and so, depending on the angle from which it is viewed, the image appears either sombre or full of hope.
Although it has a certain air of mystery, one senses the reality of light and shadow; both can and do coexist side by side and form part of life.
The drawing was created using the highest quality coloured pencils on artist’s paper in A4 size (29.7 x 21 cm) and will be sent simply framed in a plexiglass frame to protect the artwork.
