Original artwork description
To create this painting I was inspired by the bright red petals fallen of a peony. Initially, I worked on the picture of the peonies bouquet, but when the flowers crumbled, I discovered that petals themselves make up a ready-made beautiful still life. The light-pinkish pearl surface of the shell, sparkling petals and round pebbles brought from the Mediterranean coast recall to the summer, seaside, and romance feelings.
