There is a particular quality of light that exists only in shadow — not absence of color, but color turned inward, deepened, made quieter.

This painting lives entirely inside that light. Deep violet-black blossoms open with small gold centers, catching what little sun filters through leaves, while pink buds along the branch stay closed, unhurried, waiting their turn.

The turquoise ground moves like air itself — not still, not heavy, but the exact temperature of standing beneath a tree on a warm afternoon, where everything slows without quite stopping. Small blue florets scatter like something caught mid-motion, mid-breath.

Nothing here insists on being seen first. The eye moves the way wind moves through branches — without a fixed path, returning again and again to what it already loved.
