Woman and the moon is my eternal inspiration.
Also I love the idea of serpents and scorpions, being a Scorpio!

This is a moody, atmospheric image of a woman standing in her element - water … her eyes are closed; she’s imagining the moon - which is formed from a serpent shape resisting on her shoulder.

It is a medium sized pastel on paper, from my London days before I moved to live in Lincolnshire in 1993. Back then I used to exhibit regularly around my native Ireland and Great Britain, early 1980s - 1995.

Pastel on smooth 200gsm paper
38 x 56cm
Signed front and reverse

Materials used:

chalk pastel
