In this painting, I sought to capture the tumultuous swirl of emotions and thoughts of a youth on the cusp of adulthood, set against a vividly expressive sky that mirrors his internal world. Using a blend of acrylics, oils, and oil pastels, I layered colors and textures to enhance the realism of the scene while maintaining the emotional intensity characteristic of expressionism. This artwork serves as a reflection on the stormy yet hopeful transition periods in life, inviting the viewer to connect with their own personal journeys.
