I am always drawn to the forms and colours that shape rocks, in this case a long line of boulders that I encountered on a walk on Bournemouth beach in the spring. This painting is on a deep, linen canvas which provides a slightly grainy base, adding to the texture of the oils. The painting is framed in a good quality, white painted wood canvas with a shadow gap between canvas and frame to enhance the artwork.
