Road Paint (2023) Original Oil Painting by Eliza Kołodziej

A small study made out of curiosity. What caught my attention was the red paint used to mark the bicycle lane on the street. I was walking in the suburbs of Warsaw when I noticed how the paint was slowly chipping away. Its rough texture and the surrounding colours pushed me to capture that moment — the meeting point of curves, crosswalk lines, and paving slabs. It’s a quiet fragment of the city that usually goes unseen.
