When I painted River in Soft Light, I wasn't searching for dramatic scenery. I was drawn to the quiet conversation between flowing water and filtered sunlight. Every reflection shifted with the breeze, creating an ever-changing pattern that could never be repeated.
Working in oil allowed me to build transparent layers of color while keeping the freshness of the first brushstrokes. I wanted the painting to preserve not only the appearance of the river but also the feeling of standing beside it, surrounded by silence and soft summer light.
This original landscape reflects my continuing exploration of atmosphere, natural light, and the peaceful beauty found in everyday places.
